Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter Series #1)

Angels' Blood - Nalini Singh Hm. I am not entirely sure what I think about this book. Whether to give it three stars, two stars or even only one. The first half of the book is incredibly ... I cannot say boring, but ... well it was rather painful. I cannot tell you how often I had to roll my eyes due to the endless sexual innuendos Elena "had to endure" from several different sources. Really, it got to a point beyond being ridiculous. But maybe, as this seems to be the norm in paranormal romances (because let's face it, this ain't no UF), I could have lived with it, had the plot been interesting. It wasn't however; the characters actions seemed random, the plot messy and unstructured. Drama without meaning - the way I love it. Right.Generally, I would have put this book down by the half mark, but somehow I continued and quite frankly the book got ... I cannot say good but it most certainly got better. I actually started to warm up to Raphael and Elena, and to be able to see beyond their stereotypes as which they were introduced to us. The plot slighted changed for the better too, however, the end was very predictable - I sniffed it out good 1/3 into the book. While this book is most certainly readable, it ain't nothing exceptional or unique within either the UF or PR genre.
